After standing abandoned in the Financial District for decades, 5 Beekman has re-opened as The Beekman, a luxury hotel with a Victorian flare. The highly anticipated interior of the landmark is now visible to the public.
The Beekman’s majestic atrium gives way to nine floors, including 287 guest rooms and two penthouses, which peek out below the immaculate pyramidal skylight ceiling. Each guest enjoys marble bathrooms, arched walkways, and gourmet meals by Keith McNally and Tom Colicchio. Adorned with dark tones and sophisticated textures, the renovated hotel retains much of its original charm, providing a welcoming yet nostalgic experience to all who enter.
With current rates beginning at $1,000, a night at The Beekman might be a once in a lifetime experience, or for most of us, perhaps one that can simply be lived through the hotel’s Instagram feed.
