This past Saturday, 100 people of all shapes, sizes, colors and genders helped celebrate nudity and bodypainting by stripping completely nude, getting painted up, and marching around the City.
NYC Bodypainting Day is organized by body artist Andy Golub, who says:
Bodypainting Day is more than a group of people getting together and painting. It’s about artists sharing their vision with the public and it’s about ordinary people offering up their bodies for the sake of art and allowing the world to see them in their most vulnerable state.
The event promotes not only the art of body painting, but also promotes a positive self image and body acceptance no matter what you are or how you look.
Special thanks to Viewing NYC reader James Martin for many of these recap videos.
