The St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church was a small church located on the periphery of the World Trade Center that was crushed in the 9/11 World Trade Center attacks. 15 years later, the St. Nicholas National Shrine is nearly completed, built in its place to memorialize the church, and the lives lost in the attacks.
In this immersive 360° video from the New York Times, see the construction progress, and the hoisting of the shrine's massive steel cross.
Float above the St. Nicholas National Shrine, at the World Trade Center, as a cross is installed on the dome.
If you can't move the view around, you need to use the Google Chrome browser on desktop, or the YouTube App for iOS or Android to move around inside the video.
