Subway Analyst is a website that uses publicly accessible MTA subway fare data and turnstile data in order to get clues on what is going on in each station. The site was started by an unknown "NYC-based data analyst who really likes trains."

A recent post on the site took a closer look at the delays on the most crowded trains in the system, the 4/5/6 line.

Overall, there have been 490 advisories over the 45 days, or about 11 per day. I should note that NYCTSubway typically tweets once when the advisory starts and once when the issue is resolved (so 2 tweets per issue), but still, that’s more than 5 per day! The big spike in advisories on this chart was on September 10th and 11th, but wasn’t tied to memorials.
