A good way to practice taking pictures for a helicopter ride is to take take the east river ferry.... It's the closest thing there is to simulating the change light and movement of a helicopter in the air.... Some may argue the views are just as pretty if not prettier on the water... So bundle and layer up and take a ride to see the cities splendor by boat...
