Artist Nancy Blum recently completed seven(!) large-scale, floral mosaics inside the newly-opened 28th Street 6 Station in Manhattan on 28th Street and Lexington Avenue. Check them out!
Blooms are busting out all over in @nancy_blum‘s “Roaming Underfoot” (2019) at the newly re-opened historic 28th Street (6) station. The seven flowering plants depicted in the glass mosaic artwork (fabricated by #MiottoMosaics) are from nearby @madsqparknyc Conservancy’s perennial collection, including Red Buds, Magnolias, Hellebores, Witch Hazel, Daffodils, Hydrangea and Camellia. Each are suited to the changing climate conditions of the city. Similar to a glorious #garden, the larger than life underground #flowers create a delightful space in every season.
