Descension is a water-based art installation by artist Anish Kapoor that was recently installed near Pier 1 at Brooklyn Bridge Park. Check it out in this video from our friends at Brownstoner, then see the accompanying article for more information.
The circular installation — 26 feet in diameter — is an exploration into the ever-changing behavior of water. The continuous spiral shifts and grows, water splashes over the edges, and the dull throb of the spinning water almost drowns out the sounds of the birds flitting through the park.
