It's easy to get frustrated with subway delays and holds. While it's easy to place the blame on the MTA for delays, this video shows that it doesn't take much to clog up the system and create delays and major service gaps.
Earlier today, the MTA released this amazing 8-bit retro-style animation explaining how a single disruption bubbles down the entire line, and what the train dispatchers do to help get everything back to normal.
