Check Out the Summer Cornhole Tournament at Brooklyn Brewery Tomorrow

Cookout Games | We celebrated Memorial as most Americans do, gardening, eating and hanging out with friends. On Saturday, my mom and I planted sweet potatoes and peppers in her garden. We enjoyed a cookout with friends on Saturday evening, completes with hamburgers, hotdogs, baked beans. We played corn hole, or bean bag toss, or whatever it’s called in your area. And of course we finished out the evening sitting around a fire.

Whatever your celebrations are this weekend, make sure you take some time to think about the real meaning of this holiday and give thanks to those that have lost their lives in service for our freedoms.

Cornhole is a simple bean bag toss game in which players take turns trying to toss the bags through a hole in a slanted wooden board about 30 feet away.

Tomorrow, August 10th, one of our favorite local breweries is hosting a Summer Corn Hole Tournament and offering unlimited Brooklyn Brewery draft beer and Kettle Corn.

Join us Monday, August 10th for a night of cornhole, unlimited Brooklyn Brewery draft beer and some friendly competition. […] Teams of 2 will compete in this beanbag toss game that originated as tailgate fun in Ohio and spread throughout the country - with $150 cash prize for the winner.

Spectator tickets are $20 and include the beer and kettle corn, while participant tickets are $50 for a team of 2, also with beer and kettle corn. Check out the tickets page for more information.
