New York City is frequently used as the backdrop for external shots in Hollywood productions. Movies, television shows, music videos, and more use the City landmarks, streets, bridges, parks, and other public spaces to aid their stories, and the vast majority of these places can be visited by anybody on foot. Instagrammer hollywood_irl recently compiled a massive photo album of over 300 filming locations in the City, each with a side-by-side comparison of how the real location looked on the screen.
