Cole Thompson runs a fantastic local blog titled My Inwood which is, you guessed it, all about Manhattan's Inwood Neighborhood.
In this recent video, Thompson shares a collection of dozens of vintage photographs of trolly's captured in the neighborhood from the late 1930s to 1940s.
The photos, from my personal collection, were shot by an unknown trolley enthusiast sometime in the late 1930's-40's. The trolleys in the series travel north, along Broadway, from the Fort Tryon area, past Dyckman Street and West 207th Street, and continue on until they reach the Broadway bridge in Marble Hill.
The music featured in the video is the iconic Carol Burnett — "The Trolly Song"
