The newest resident at the Prospect Park Zoo is a super cute baby hamadryas baboon — the ones with the big red bum.
Kaia, an 12-year-old female, gave birth to the male infant on October 22 at the Prospect Park Zoo. Bole, a 23-year-old male, is the father. This is Kaia’s second birth at the zoo.
If you want to visit the baby baboon, Prospect Park Zoo is open from 10am - 5pm weekdays, 10am to 5:30pm on weekends.
