Floating food project Swale arrived in The Bronx's Concrete Plant Park this week. In this Wall Street Journal video, watch project creator Mary Mattingly talk about Swale.
Swale, a so-called floating food forest, aims to rethink the use of New York City’s public lands with free food available for foraging. The project, built on a 130-foot by 40-foot floating barge, was installed in the Bronx recently and will dock at several locations in the city until October.
Check out Swale's website as well as this related video for more background on the innovative project.
