Central Park's Belvedere Castle is a mini-castle built in 1869 and designed to overlook the old reservoir (now the Great Lawn) and the Ramble. It was closed for many years, full of graffiti and vandalism, but has since been renovated and now is an essential Central Park destination. This month, NYC Parks is offering a lantern-lit, nighttime tour of the castle and has setup an online lottery reservation system.
Discover Central Park and the Belvedere Castle at night. The Rangers will discuss history and nocturnal wildlife on this night hike from the Castle to the wild places in the woods.
The night tour is on February 28th at 7PM. There are just 40 spots on this coveted tour, so get those applications in now... you can only register for the lottery today!
