Help Save New Beginning Animal Rescue, The Bronx's Only No-Kill Shelter

New Beginning Animal Rescue in The Bronx is the borough's on;y no-kill animal shelter, finding homes for its stray pets and animals all around NYC instead of euthanizing them.

The shelter is at risk of closure by the end of October if it cannot raise more money to help cover high medical expenses and rising utility costs.

The non-profit organization receives no city funding and relies on private donations, two full-time workers and a team of dedicated volunteers. In the beginning, the shelter relied on steady income from rescue groups that boarded their cats and dogs with them. But five of those groups have since moved their animals to their own facilities or new locations.
