I go into a popular NYC restaurant at a specific time and shoot the scene, trying to grab the vibe of the restaurant the best I can with photographs. Last week we did the 21 Club, and today we ran the Spotted Pig.

The 2017 Michelin Bib Gourmand List has been released for New York City.

Michelin reviewed more than 855 restaurants across New York’s diverse culinary scene and selected 28 new restaurants to includein the coveted list of Bib Gourmands. The Bib Gourmand distinction is used to highlight restaurants that not only offer great food for good value but are also personal favorites of Michelin’s famously anonymous inspectors.

While there are many ecstatic new-comers on the list who should be thrilled, the nomination on this list for more established restaurants means that they did not receive a Michelin star this year. Such is the case with Chef April Bloomfield's Spotted Pig, losing its Michelin Star after holding it for over a decade.

Without further ado, here is the full list.
