AM New York recently published an interesting article about the housing boom in the City, including an analysis on the City's affordable housing options.
As part of the article, data was accumulated on the 20,000+ affordable housing units in the City, and turned into an interactive map to help us visualize exactly what's going on and where.
More than 20,000 new or preserved affordable housing units were financed in the city in the most recent fiscal year, according to the city's Housing Preservation and Development department. The table and map locate most of them but do not include new or preserved units belonging to individual homeowners.
