For Minority communities, poverty communities, if we don't fix those schools, what future are those children going to have? Increasingly in America we have a crisis of inequality. We're talking about people who grow up in the bottom quartile of the economic spectrum, are increasingly locked into that poverty lifecycle, and education is the best ticket out. But even our middle class schools have got to become more rigorous, more demanding and more effective.
