Join the Fight Against a Fracked Gas Pipeline Through New York City Waters

The Williams Energy Company plans on installing a fracked gas pipeline to bring heat to New York City Residents, despite the clear need to convert to renewable heating energy. If approved, the pipeline will run through New York Harbor, right by Breezy Point, Coney Island, and the Rockaways. If it bursts, harmful pollutants that are difficult to detect will be released into the water, adding to the waste that has already affected the harbor.

In this video from BRIC TV, hear from the New York Communities for Change, the SANE Energy Project, and the NYC Chapter of the Surfrider Foundation about how the proposed pipeline will impact New Yorkers, especially low-income and coastal residents.
