Learn All About Staten Island's Abandoned Farm Colony With Untapped Cities and NYCEDC

Our friends at Untapped Cities organize a ton of excellent tours around New York City, showing you abandoned places, not-easily-accessed buildings and the underbelly of the City for just a few bucks.

Untapped Cities recently partnered up with the NYCEDC to legally tour the 4-decade abandoned Staten Island Farm Colony, then created this awesome video dishing out the bullet points of its history.

On our latest Behind the Scenes NYC Tour with the NYCEDC this weekend, we took readers inside the urban exploration favorite Staten Island Farm Colony. This 46-acre site has been vacant for nearly forty years, but is currently undergoing redevelopment into a multi-use complex with age-restricted senior housing, affordable housing, and publicly accessible open space.
