Whether or not you belive that competitive eating is a sport, the Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest is probably the most well-known championship in the sport. For the past 8 years, Joey Chestnut has won the event, eating 55+ dogs over 10 minutes each time.
This year, arch-rival Matt Stonie had dethroning plans, eating with fury and precision and coming up on top with the upset, 62-60.
It's actually pretty funny hearing these sportscasters try to fill 8 minutes with "sports coverage", talking about how height is a detriment because they have to reach extra inches to get the dog to the mouth, or mastication technique. Ha!
