Pickle is a 4-year-old French Bulldog that lives in Bushwick with her art advisor mom, 30-year-old New York native Katie Howard.
Through her site Art Blog Art Dog and Instagram account @picklebeholding, Pickle has created quite a stir, accompanying her mom to art galleries and exhibits, choosing the pieces she likes best, then being photographed alongside them.
It's my job to know what art's out there, which means that I'm out of the house at least five hours a day, exploring all of Chelsea or all of the Lower East Side. I didn't want to leave Pickle alone, so she became this perfect companion […] It took a while before I started taking pictures of her with the art, but for the most part it's been really well received.
