The New York times recently published this great video highlighting those who finished last in the New York City Marathon, and the volunteers who stuck around to cheer them on after everyone else left.
The official clock ended at 7:30 p.m., but that didn’t stop these final athletes — some who competed for over 12 hours — from crossing the finish line and getting a medal at the 2017 New York Marathon.
