The June 15, 2016 concert in Central Park — part of Concerts in the Parks, Presented by Didi and Oscar Schafer — was dedicated to the victims of the shooting in Orlando and their families. Music Director Alan Gilbert and the Orchestra opened the program with Barber’s "Adagio for Strings."
