NYCFC's First Official Major League Soccer Goal is a Short Shot From Mix Diskerud

Today's New York City Football Club (NYCFC) against the Orlando City Soccer Club is not only the MLS season opener, but the teams first regulation match as well. In the 75th minute, Norwegian-American Mix Diskerud scored the team's first ever
league goal with a bending shot from the top of the box into the far corner of the goal. Celebrations were brief however, as the game ended in a 1-1 tie following a late goal from Orlando's Brazilian superstar Kaka.
