According to a press release this morning, the Port Authority is going to salute the US Women's World Cup Soccer Championship team by hanging the world's largest American flag up on the George Washington Bridge all day tomorrow.
The Port Authority will unfurl the world's largest free-flying American flag at the George Washington Bridge on Friday, July 10, as a tribute to Team USA's women's World Cup champion soccer team. The team - which won the World Cup last Sunday by defeating Japan 5-2 - will be honored during a ticker tape parade Friday on Broadway in Lower Manhattan.
The 450-pound flag measures 90 feet by 60 feet and will be flown on the upper arch of the New Jersey tower tomorrow from 10am - 2pm.
