Major League Soccer team New York Red Bulls, along with the U.S. Soccer Foundation and the NYC Parks Department, will unveil a brand new soccer pitch in the Lower East Side today.
The small field, dubbed the Lower East Side Playground Field, is located within Open Road Park and has been created using the Red Bulls' colors of red and blue.
Representatives from those organizations, as well as elected officials will gather to officially open a new, state-of-the-art, mini-soccer pitch that will provide the community with a safe place to play and learn the game of soccer.
There will be a small ribbon-cutting ceremony today to open the pitch.
