They say ignorance is bliss so maybe you really don't want to know… but if you are curious, you can check the City records on your building's rat inspections from the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene's online Rat Information Portal.
Simply search for or click any building, and all digital records the City has on passed and failed inspections will be visible. I can imagine this is a very useful tool if you are considering a move into a new building.
Surprising no one, there are a ton of failed inspections in the City, especially around more commercial areas where restaurants produce more food trash.
