Yom Kippur is the most important Jewish holiday of the year. Beginning tonight at sundown and ending tomorrow at the same time, most practicing Jews will fast, refrain from work, and pray over the holiday. The large hollow horn tumpet is called the Shofar, and is blown on Yom Kippur to mark the end of the holiday.
In this video from YouTuber Issac Feder, watch as the Shofar is blown all across very public Midtown Manhattan locations.
The shofar blast is a call to wake up to what's possible for ourselves and our world this Jewish new year.
