Ryan Manning, a reporter for tech giant The Verge, recently explored binaural microphones and recordings after noticing Thom Yorke using one in a studio image. The special microphones allow you to hear recorded audio the same way your actual ear would hear it, were you there during the recording. If you wear headphones (highly recommended) to watch this video, you can completely tell the moment they turn on the special mics on the City streets, and it really does sound like you are actually here.
