Brooklyn Grange Farm is an urban farm which grows about 50,000 pounds of fresh local produce every year. It's 3 combined farms cover over 2.5 acres of land, yet stays completely hidden. Sound ridiculous? Since 2010, the
Brooklyn Grange has utilized large rooftops to grow various types of produce on, which is then sold at local farmer's markets and local food stores. They currently have 3 farms in Brooklyn and Queens:
- Brooklyn Navy Yard Farm, Vinegar Hill, 65,000 sqft - Brooklyn Grange Bees Apiary, Vinegar Hill, 30 Bee Hives - Flagship Farm, Long Island City, 43,000 sqft
