Local real estate magazine and website The Real Deal recently created this interesting video which explores how Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn is a "neighborhood in transition", yet its growth is hindered by restrictive zoning.
Sheepshead Bay is located as far south into Brooklyn as one could get, but its distance from the city's epicenter has not stopped the borough’s development boom from grabbing hold of the neighborhood. But some developers and brokers in the area are concerned the residential building boom could be precipitating an office shortage. The Real Deal recently went down to Sheepshead Bay to see some of the new residential projects and talk to local players about what the lack of commercial development could mean for the neighborhood's growth.
