Two new baby Ring-tailed lemurs, an endangered species native to Madegascar, were recently born at the Staten Island Zoo. The female named "Jyn" and a male named Han were born a day apart with different mothers, but the same father.
According to animal handler Deana Romanello, the two enjoy a diet of fresh vegetables and fruit. In the wild they nibble on flowers, herbs, bark and sap, as well as spiders, caterpillars, cicadas and grasshoppers.
