Recently dug up by our friends at Stuff Nobody Cares About, this incredible vintage photograph shows a very early view of Lower Manhattan looking towards the East River and Brooklyn waterfront sometime around 1892. Through some pretty detailed analysis of the photograph, it was determined that this was captured from the Morris Building which stood on the corner of Beaver and Broad Streets, looking out towards Coenties Slip and Jeanette Park.
