Vintage Photographs of the New York City Easter Parade Between 1898 and 1933

Our friends at Mashable recently compiled this great collection of vintage photographs of the Easter Parade, dating back over a century ago to 1898.

In the late 1800s, New York's churches began to decorate their sanctuaries with Easter flowers. Parishioners walked from church to church to inspect the floral displays — and so began the custom of the NYC Easter parade.
