With Broadway and Off-Broadway entering a brief offseason, Fringe Festival NYC takes the front stage in the New York theater world. Running from August 12th to 28th, Fringe Festival features a variety of offerings including musicals, experimental pieces, and classical revivals.
This year’s 20th edition includes 200 offerings by various theater and dance companies, each of which gets just five or six chances to show its stuff. Many of the city’s best Off-Off Broadway venues participate.
Tickets are $18 per show, and some shows sell out fast. Check out the official Fringe Festival website for a full list of the productions.
