Local transit historian and railfan Dj Hammers makes tons of great videos showing how subway transit works and runs in the City. In this recent upload, DJ Hammers took a ride on the New York Transit Museum's vintage 1910s BRT Standard train which has a glass window in the motorman's carriage, allowing him to film the entire journey. Watch as he exposes the underbelly of Manhattan subway tunnels from 96th Street to Chinatown, over the Manhattan Bridge to Brooklyn, then from Dumbo to the 25th Street station in Greenwood.
The museum BRT Standard cars have a front window that passengers can see out of. Quite the view!! This video was taken on a museum train excursion that visited Greenwood Cemetary. Tickets for excursions like this are available on the Transit Museum's website.
