Watch the NYPD Air Sea Rescue Save Unconscious Woman Off Staten Island Coast Following Boat Crash

NYPD’s Air Sea Rescue team saved an unconscious woman and two men after their boat crashed into the rocks of Staten Island. Aviation officers responded to a 911 call of a boat in distress in the Verrazano Narrows near Staten Island and observed a 24-foot pleasure boat on the shoreline of Hoffman Island stuck on the rocks. Officers assigned to the NYPD Scuba Unit were quickly deployed from the NYPD Air Sea Rescue helicopter and lowered down to the victims while an NYPD Harbor Unit and FDNY Marine Unit also made their way to the boaters.
