On the heels of Hurricanes Harvey and Irma comes a powerful Tropical Storm Jose. The storm is currently strengthening and turning northward, putting New York City potentially in its path for early next week. Many different scenarios are possible at this point, so its a little early for panic, but you should still monitor weather station forecasts so that you are prepared in case of the worst-case scenario.
Hurricane Jose could prove to be a close-call for Staten Island and the New York-New Jersey area if the storm decides to take a turn inward and up the Atlantic coast, forecasters said. As a result, forecasters in the New York and New Jersey region are closely monitoring Jose's track.
