At an elevation of 87.5 feet above ground, the Smith-9th St station on the F/G lines in Gowanus is the highest subway station in the world. With relatively shorter buildings surrounding the station, the view from atop offers an uninterrupted line-of-sight to the Lower and Midtown Manhattan skylines, as well as the Downtown Brooklyn skyline. See it all in this stunning panoramic capture by redditor candytaco.
